wedding madness

whoa, it's less than mth away from our actual big days.. Gi's not feeling the anxiety yet but 
i'm beginning to be abit anxious..haha..Maybe coz he still has to go work & worry abt other 
things while i'm like almost fulltime into this.. haha.. But well, his words do make sense, why worry about things when they haven't arrive? Easier to deal with it 
by compartmentalising things more..  Actualli now with my  increased free time, it is helpful coz can afford to do be kinder to my brain & body..Hope i'd say
 the same when the bank balance dwindles..haha..anyway now it's reali tying up the loose 
ends of our wedding preps..esp our guest list, seating arrangements & briefing frens who're helpling.. Challenging stuff ahead for the seating arrangements..   
thankfuly there're many frens who're so ever ready to lend a helping hand..such gd fortune 
to meet with wonderful frens we've.. :  ) 
 
This Wed, some customary ritual will take place which is kinda funny (the thought of the ritual preps), with roasted pig,oranges, canned foodstuff, and all...gdness.. sometimes it's hard to avoid these rituals, so we sorta appreciate the culture & customs of it all...guess it's part & parcel of what families like to be involved in.. ;)

preparations!!

woww..when was the last post??!! it's oredi ssept ending, & things are picking up speed in terms of wedding preps.. 
sooo many thgs to look into.. the kitchen, paint, curtains, sofa, dryer, wardrobes, gowns, makeups, accessories, 
shirts, ROM application, buddhist ceremony, food, decor, music, invites, etc..etc.. there're many many items to look into, but it's a fun process.. each day i tink we're discovering new thgs about the other, as well as learning to be more accepting & considerate.. Hope tis will last though, hahaha..not abeit thost couples who end up losing respect for each other & takin each others' feelings for granted...

hahaha...reali din expect bi to pop me The Qn again this way! it was such a funny & sweet surprise surprise as i only happen to check blog after many many weeks of dormancy.. And only becoz i was getting really bored doing up & closing my numerous cases..Had been asking him on & off juz to disturb him abt it, but reali din expect this witty surprise..

Couldn't reali contain my laughter at the pc screen, with some colleagues wondering wat i was up to.. :) Wonder how long bi can tahan if i had continued my dormancy at this blog..quite surprised that he didn't leak out any bit of clue at all abt his posting! :p I'd wanted to pretend to see what he'd do next..but yah, couldn't contain it..! Used to tink it's kinda hard to surprise me coz i've got strong intuitive sense! haha..

anyway, the answer is yes...hehe...

Will you marry me....?

Cannot believe it myself... we are gettin married?! And in this year! After near to ten years of being together, with plenty of ups and downs... yes... we decided that we wanna spent the rest of our lives together.... :)

9 Dec 06 is The Day. 12 Dec 06 is The Dinner.

One month of hectic plannin, and yes, by some stroke of good fortune, preparations are well on the way! cum plenty of $$ damage... :(

Frantically trying to look for the most auspicioius date, the best hotel, the best photographer, the best gown...phew... NOT EASY! and we did it. and i was quite proud of our achievements. Things can really move fast if you want it hard enough....

gigi has been eagerly waiting for me to ask for her hand "officially", so lets see when gigi will see this... heh...

medicine princess miso

miso fractured her right leg on 16Jan'06...was a trauma 4 her (plus me & Bu "p ).she scampered to a small corner in my neighbour's garden after being hit by mum's car..wonder how she managed to do tat despite the fracture.Brought her to the vet and i can still rem how quietly in pain she was..And for once she allowed me to pat her for such a long time w/out turning over to scratch/attack ;p

interesting to see how vet took an x-ray of miso, amidst her hissing..she was hospitalised for an op & took much time to regain alertness after that. Also did her spaying in the same op..Was so anxious for her then..Thankfuly all went well coz it's the first time i meet with such a situation too & din noe what to expect..

Now she's home & recuperatin pretty fast..she's really cute when she tries to get your attention by meooowing loudly, slowly moving nearer to you,or lifting her head for you to stroke her neck... :) But she's also starting to tear/shred at the newspapers when she's being caged in. Yest she managed to jump in from the front door again!now the biggest challenge is feedin her medicine twice a day!!!! the princess clamps her mouth shut whenever she senses medicine time is near..& in prying open her mouth to throw in the pill,she often ends up biting my hands...haiyy, just gotta think of innovative methods to trick her.. ;pp

happi hatchdae!

today's gi's special hatchday!
had initally took leave to give him a surprise lunch date, only to realise i wouldn't really know where he'd be at if he's out in the field; & in the end I had to ask him where he'd be...duh...And that also means kind and nice Gi would tell me not to go all the way to where he'd be at to meet him for a mere 1 hour or so, just to celebrate his birthday...

Ultimately we agreed to meet tomorrow instead, post birthday..hee..Anyway still wish to wish him a most happy birthday and a really wonderful year ahead :)

malaysia getaway...plus lotsa waiting and sleepin

Went to Cameron and KL for my year end getaway with gi... ironically tat as my pay gets higher while my travel destination gets nearer and cheaper (from Phuket to OZ to NZ to Vietnam to Bali and then now to Malaysia...) $ not tat easy to earn after all! hah.

After suffering for 10 agonising hrs of bus ride (accompanied by 2 hrs of Jackie Chan's The Myth), finally reached cameron at eight am. And hell, its not cold at all! not onli tat, canot even check in until one plus! and becos of this, i ended up in the hotel reataurant ordering an incredibly yucky herbie drink (thinks its called per-ge-ge juice). Eeeks..it made one's hair stand....

nothin too memorable abt tat place... well except for probably the tea plantation. first time seein a tree plant up close and personal. moreover tea is one of my fave drink. weather not too bad either. got nice makan here and there, eg. kampung chicken, steamboat and their famous scones.

off to KL's sunway lagoon resort (plus lotsa waiting here and there again). was already quite irritated by the time we checked in. felt tat the resort was way lost form as compared to our bali's melia resort though both of them were five stars. The service and food sugs given the five star ratings and price. the onli saving grace was probably its ooh so comfie bed... really inspired me to go get a really expensive bedsheet and quilt cover when i m back!

in all, it was a no fuss, do nothing, sleepy trip. hopefully this will be one of the last. haha! looking for things to pick up once more and more exciting trips to come! Next target: Switzerland honeymoon trip with gi! :)
